First week was all about introduction and making a perfect plan, so it’s easier to follow project timeline and successful completion.
Firstly, I had meeting with other GSoC contributors and Org Admins (Sean and Nikil). In the meeting Sean gave a brief overview of what to prioritize, and some essential things to do such as filing schedule slip form if deadline is missed even of a small task. Then, I had meeting with Christie (mentor) and Chris (backup mentor). They told me about project, following few guidelines.
On the task side, we have planned to migrate all CUJs to a new document shared across all teams, to increase efficiency and consistency. So, I also drafted few CUJs for Voiceover Admin, Voiceover Submitter and Topic Manager. The one good thing I learnt is there should not be any logical or thinking steps to write not CUJs, but any quality doc. For example don’t write change this but add change this to X.
